A lovely client of mine, who already appreciated the role of interior design, began her project working closely with her architect and contractor. As the space began to take shape, she felt the moment was right to bring me on board.

Reflecting today, a glorious sunny day at my studio Creighton Designs in Tunbridge Wells, Kent and I have always believed that interior design begins with connection.

Connection between people, supporting each other

Connection between textures , materials and the space

Connection between colour, light and the architecture

It is this sense of connection and collaboration that allows a space to feel layered, cohesive and deeply personal. Whether we are connecting with each other, collaborating with each other or with textures, fabrics, furnishing and interiors I find it so exciting to bounce ideas around, all at different degrees of course!

Colour Drenching and the Interior Landscape of 2026

Interior design in 2026 continues to move towards homes that feel calm, grounded and emotionally connected. 

I feel there is a continuing desire for interiors to support everyday living while remaining sophistically well designed and enduring. One approach that responds beautifully to this  shift is colour drenching, a technique that allows colour, light and architecture to work  together in a more considered way.
